Biography

Ajia Sato was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and further educated in the New York City, United States, his musical journey reflects a diverse and rich background. Extensive training as a classical double bass player was achieved through rigorous discipline and numerous performance opportunities. A strong interest in avant-garde music has also influenced some of his work, adding an innovative edge to his approach. Additionally, significant exposure to American roots music, including jazz and soul, has broadened my musical perspective. This blend of rigorous classical training, avant-garde influences, and diverse musical genres contributes to his unique and versatile performance style.
